Timack is not just another manufacturer - we pride ourselves on the quality and consistency of our products and our delivery reliability is second-to-none. We like to get to know our customers and their requirements - it is by working closely with many of our customers, including the leading office and seating contractors, we ensure that all our products - from the smallest solid timber or preformed plywood component to complete chair and furniture frames - exactly match our customers' needs. Expansion and Investment

When Clive Timms and Alan Slack established Timack in 1982, the company occupied a single industrial unit at Premier Mill, Darwen, Lancashire. Now, 26 years later, Timack occupy the whole of the mill; a manufacturing facility of some 40,000 square feet. Investment in the latest machine tool technology and inventory control systems ensure we remain at the forefront of our industry.

Our intention is to continue this investment and expansion in the future. We will ensure our many existing customers continue to receive the quality and service to which they are accustomed, and demonstrate to new customers how Timack can assist them in achieving advantage over their competitors.

The Environment

Woodworking waste can be a serious problem - which is why Timack take their responsibility to the environment seriously. By minimising wastage during manufacturing and investment in systems to process all waste products efficiently, we take care to reduce our impact on the environment to a minimum, and work within the guidelines of the ISO 14001 Environmental Standard.

Quality and Efficiency

Timack's quality control and other systems meet the requirements of ISO 9001/2000. Over an eighteen month period, we worked closely with the Manufacturing Institute to improve efficiency and reduce lead times by the introduction of Lean Manufacturing techniques.
